Celebrate Earth Day this year with Downtown Long Beach! In an effort to highlight and promote local efforts to create a more sustainable and environmentally focused city, Cultural Alliance Long Beach (CALB), Green Education Inc., Millworks, Leadership Long Beach, Green Long Beach! and the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) are kicking off the first annual Green Prix of Long Beach on Saturday, April 20th between 11am and 8pm on Pine Avenue.
Come out and celebrate the Green Prix with local green artists, urban farmers, Green Chefs, sustainability and environmental organizations as well as organic beers/microbrews. Enjoy a children’s workshops, watch sustainability-related film screenings and local entertainers. The event will also include local vendors and food trucks, so come hungry!
The day’s activities will culminate with a bountiful “Farm to Table” dinner hosted by Chef Paul and Dana Buchanan from Primal Alchemy, to be held at Art Park near the corner of 7th Street and Pine Avenue.
Join in the fun all along Pine Avenue between 11am and 8pm. The event is free to the public, with the exception of the Farm to Table dinner. Also, don’t forget to stop by our office on the way to say Hello! We’ll be set up on the corner of 4th and Pine the whole day…see you there!
